Peace of mind, before your practice
What makes Charlie’s different from other studios?
1
Classical Pilates honors the original system, exercise sequence, and apparatus design created by Joseph Pilates. We skip the fitness trends, heavy dumbbells, and loud cardio gimmicks to focus on pure body control, precision, breath, and core alignment. It’s a time-tested approach built for real-world strength and long-term joint health.
Can I come to class if I have never done pilates before?
2
Absolutely! Pilates is designed for every body—regardless of age, fitness level, or experience. Because we emphasize small classes, our instructors provide personalized attention, form corrections, and modifications so you feel safe and supported from day one.
What’s in a name?
3
Good question! Charlotte is named after her grandfather, Charles “Charlie” Hildebrand, who was a pharmacist & business owner in her Georgia hometown. His work at their family’s drugstore cared for and shaped the community for generations.
Fun fact: "Charlie" is also the nickname her family calls her! When it came time to name the studio, it was an easy decision. Charlie’s is a tribute to legacy, community, and building a space where everyone feels at home.
Is your class schedule set in stone?
4
Short answer, no! While we will always offer Reformer, Mat, and Barre classes, we are looking forward to tailoring classes and times to what works best for YOU! We can promise you that as we grow, the classes and schedule will grow to accommodate accordingly.
If there’s a certain time you want to see on the schedule, always let us know & we will take it into consideration! The most important thing is that you can get into class when you want to— if we can help with that, just give us a shout.
5
What should I wear or bring to class?
Wear comfortable, form-fitting workout apparel that allows you to move freely (and stays in place when your legs are elevated). Grip socks are required on a for safety and stability—you can bring your own or grab a pair of our signature Charlie’s logo grip socks at the front desk! We also have water available for purchase.
What is your cancellation policy?
6
We require at least 12 hours' notice to cancel a class. Canceling 12+ hours in advance returns the credit to your account. Late cancellations or missed classes will forfeit the credit (or incur a fee). With limited spots per class, this helps make sure every spot gets filled!
Can I participate if I’m pregnant, postpartum, or recovering from an injury?
7
Yes! Pilates is one of the most effective, low-impact ways to rehabilitate the body, build core strength, and support your journey through pregnancy and postpartum. Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to notify your instructor of any injuries, surgeries, or conditions so we can tailor your setup.
(Note: Always consult your physician before starting a new exercise program).
